  • Overview

    ALC Digital is looking for a Vice President, Product Management to join its executive team. This role requires a strategic, charismatic, hands-on leader of Product Management to drive product strategy to meet both the needs of our clients and the marketplace in front of us.


    The Vice President will help ALC Digital grow and scale all of our existing offerings and launch new ones. As product leader, this person will own the entire vision of the products and the roadmap. In this role you will use your experience taking early stage products from early adoption to widespread scale and market penetration. Working cross functionally with the whole executive team, this position will own the customer experience and drive product development and management.


    Our “ideal candidate” is an individual who has experience initiating and overseeing the coordination of products throughout their lifecycle, from strategic definition to end-of-life planning. They develop the product strategy and are able to effectively translate customer/client’s needs into new features and new services. Writes and implements product specifications. They have an advanced degree and 8-10 years of experience in product development. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Has extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. This role reports to the President of ALC Digital.

    In addition, our "ideal candidate" you must have the following skills & competencies:

    • Experience
      • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field including: UI, UX, IA, and UAT.
      • Exposure and/or experience with social, marketing automation, ad tech, and other related industry relative to the ALC Digital business.
      • Experience with related best practices for approaching product development, including generally accepted Product Development Process steps, requirements gathering, Agile, etc.
      • Experience with big data systems and platforms (e.g., DMPs, etc), including but not limited to, incoming data, normalization, processing, reporting, audience segment definition and creation.
      • Mobile product development a plus.
      • Experience in a start-up company a big plus.
    • Requirements
      • 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
      • Outstanding judgment, analytical and critical thinking skills.
      • Detail oriented; stellar organizational and follow through skills. Able to work in a meticulous and thorough manner even while managing multiple assignments concurrently.
      • Resourceful problem solving capabilities.
      • Effectively prioritize and manage personalities to meet deadlines.
      • Highly motivated, taking initiative to learn and ownership of responsibilities.
      • Professional, positive, results oriented, solutions-driven demeanor.
      • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills; articulate verbal and written communication and excellent customer service skills.

      • Ability to manage one's time effectively to meet tight and high expectation deadlines.
      • Work history or knowledge of the online advertising and/or marketing automation industry.
      • Working knowledge and experience of dealing with data-driven businesses.


    Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

    • Product lifecycle management from concept to phasing out of the product(s) across all products/product lines.
    • Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy and vision in line with the businesses long-term goals.
    • Assess product development and enhancement opportunities.
    • Oversee competitive research and technology assessments.
    • Evaluate and establish program priorities in line with the business objectives.
    • Own the product roadmap.
    • Accountable for quality of teams, product, human and business performance.
    • Develop budgets, forecasts, metrics and measures. Monitor and evaluate the results.
    • Responsible for ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
    • Lead Product Marketing Managers to assess product mix; evaluate market share; conduct competitive analysis; and identify new products.
    • Oversee and drive the establishment of strategic marketing plans for each product or product lines.
    • Define pricing and competitive positioning.
    • Influence business and industry practices by driving innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
    • Be passionate about satisfying customers by building world-class teams and processes.
    • Lead, manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, directors, and related personnel.
    • Interviewing, hiring and training of employees.
    • Planning, assigning and directing workloads.
    • Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
    • Key evangelist serving as public face of product with; the press; market analysts; strategic partners; and other industry leaders.
    • Take part fully in a range of industry events including: conventions, panels, forums. Submit and present white papers to establish the businesses leadership in the marketplace.
